Carol Cohen is an accomplished global human resources executive with experience in strategizing and implementing global human capital initiatives that drive business results, HR transformation and improved employee performance. She consults and coaches on organization & talent strategy, executive/organizational effectiveness, professional & leadership development, growth & transformation, board engagement, data/analytics, and communications.
Her career spans leadership and consulting roles for non-profits, small businesses, and Fortune 500 companies. In her role as Chief Talent Officer for CVS Health, Carol focused on attracting, developing, engaging and retaining talent aligned to the business strategy. She also held executive roles at American Express and Cognizant Technology Solutions, including SVP of Global Talent & Transformation. In this role, she led a global cross-functional team in designing and rolling out global talent strategies for 300,000 employees across talent management, onboarding, performance management, learning and development, succession planning, analytics, strategic workforce planning, change management and transformation. She also served as a founding board member of a $100m corporate foundation.
Carol earned her MBA from the University of Colorado and her undergraduate degree in psychology and sociology from Rutgers. She has shared HR and business insights in collaboration with MIT, Harvard Business Review, London Business School, Forbes, and the Wall Street Journal. Additionally, she co-authored with MIT Sloan The New Leadership Playbook for the Digital Age: Reimagining What it Takes to Lead.
Carol lives in New Jersey with her husband and three kids. She’s an avid cook, practices yoga, enjoys global travel and is a go-getter when it comes to community volunteering and jumps in regularly to help in times of need.
